Ashanti is a former Associate at QuiVive, having worked on various impact and sustainability projects, with an interest in emerging markets, sustainable finance and ESG from September of 2021 to June 2022.
Following Ashanti’s internships with QuiVive, she interned for Brown University’s Investment Office. During summer 2023 she is interning in the investment bank at Morgan Stanley in New York City. Prior to QuiVive, Ashanti was an intern at Rock Creek Group in Washington, DC.
Ashanti’s interest in Impact Investing was sparked as a member of the University of North Carolina Impact Investing Club, where she helped launch the UNC Impact Investing Club's Impact Fund.
Ashanti is a rising senior Robertson Scholar, with dual enrollment at both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and at Duke University. She is pursuing a BA in Public Policy at UNC and minor in Economics and the Markets & Management Certificate at Duke University. She currently serves as Co Vice President of the UNC Impact Investing Club and is Director of the Club’s Impact Fund Team, managing each division within the team, maintaining relations with a diverse-professional advisory board, and refining the Fund's dual impact and fundamental due diligence process.
As a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ashanti also works with a grassroots volunteer organization dedicated to increasing and advocating for the voting rights of independent voters in Pennsylvania.
