Christine Sullivan is the Chief Program Manager at Realist Ventures — a Stamford, Connecticut based business incubator working to build a more equitable future by helping underrepresented founders access capital to grow and scale their businesses. Realist offers programming that supports building healthy and profitable businesses as well as bringing innovative technologies to market.
More broadly, Christine also serves as a strategic, financial and technical consultant to entrepreneurs in Fairfield County, Connecticut through the Connecticut Small Business Development Center, a joint program of the University of Connecticut School of Business and the Connecticut State Department of Economic Development. Ms. Sullivan’s areas of interest and investment focus include job creation strategies, financial inclusion products/services focusing on the underserved, food service businesses, healthy/sustainable food products, and natural personal care products.
Prior to joining CTSBDC, Christine was an Executive in Residence at Bridges Fund Management, the US arm of London-based Bridges Ventures, one of the world’s first and largest social impact focused investment firms -- focused on investing in high-growth, high-impact businesses in healthcare, education, energy and environmental services sectors located in or serving under-served markets. Christine was also Chief Operating Officer at Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners, a non-profit and the nation’s largest provider of financial empowerment services to underserved communities. Before moving to the New York City area, Christine was Senior Vice President at Revolution Foods, a certified B-Corporation focused on providing healthy school lunches to schools in low-income communities. She launched Revolution Foods in Texas, serving Houston, San Antonio & Austin and managed the firm’s day-to-day operations in those markets.
As a volunteer, Ms. Sullivan serves on the Advisory Board of HAYVN, a coworking community for women entrepreneurs. She has also volunteered with Greyston Bakery, New York State’s first B-Corporation, and for prison reentry programs Defy Ventures in New York and the Prison Entrepreneurship Program in Houston. Prior to her career in social impact, Christine worked in investment banking for nearly 20 years where she focused on technology and food and beverage companies.
Christine holds a BA in mathematics and philosophy from Wellesley College and earned her MBA at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
