Eleanor Smith is a former Associate at QuiVive Global where she worked on various impact and sustainability projects, with a special interest in issues around access to food and clean water, as well as gender lens investing.
Eleanor is currently a Portfolio Analyst at the Washington, DC office of Brown Advisory, an investment management and strategic advisory firm.
Eleanor is an avid outdoorsman, having taught sailing in Maine and on Cape Cod, and is a graduate of the National Outdoors Leadership School’s (NOLS) North Cascades Mountaineering Program in Washington state.
Eleanor is a 2020 graduate of the University of the South (Sewanee) with a BA in Economics. While pursuing her economics degree Eleanor was able to research the effect of immigration on the U.S. labor market and the impact of the Clean Air Act on employment in New York. While at Sewanee, Eleanor gained sustainability and investing experience through Green’s View Woman, a female based branch of the student investing club, and The Sewanee Water Campaign, a student-run initiative encouraging responsible water use.
Eleanor is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and currently resides in Washington, DC.
