Mehdy Elouassi is a fomer Associate at QuiVive Global, where he worked on various impact and sustainability projects, with a special interest in strategic partner development and asset allocation, and a focus in emerging markets (with a particular interest in Africa and the Middle East) and impact investing.
Mehdy is currently an Investment Analyst at Cambridge Associates, based in their San Francisco office.
Prior to QuiVie, Mehdy interned in a number of research and data analyst roles and had engaged in independent research projects focused on economic empowerment, migration, and foreign policy.
He is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a BA in Economics and History. Throughout his time at UVA, he was involved in a number of roles with various organizations — including serving as the President of the Arab Students Organization, a member of the Jefferson Literary & Debating Society, a Resident Advisor, and an Assistant Vice-Chair for the University’s housing program. Additionally, he served as a representative and as the Chair of External Affairs for UVA’s Student Council, where he initiated several policy reform efforts. This was where he got his initial exposure to the world of ESG and impact investing as the main author of a resolution in favor of divestment from prison labor and fossil fuels in the University endowment fund’s portfolio (UVIMCO).
Mehdy has also explored other avenues of impact investing and social entrepreneurship more broadly as a Royster-Lawton Fellow through the Frank Batten School of Public Policy, and as a participant in Goldman Sachs Summer Insight Series.
Mehdy is a resident of San Francisco.
