Nicoline is a former Associate at QuiVive, where she focused on various impact and sustainability projects around her interests in renewable energy, climate action, and emerging markets.
She is currently a Corporate Sustainability Associate at BlackRock, reporting to that firm’s Global Head of Sustainability. Prior to her current role, she was a Sustainability Assurance Associate at ERM CVS, a division of Environmental Resource Management, the world’s largest pure play environmental consulting firm.
Nicoline’s deep interests in climate, renewable energy and emerging markets were inspired by her fieldwork and research experiences in the Western United States’ Rocky Mountains, Appalachian Tennessee’s Cumberland Plateau, New Zealand’s Akatore Fault Zone, United Kingdom’s former coal mining regions, the Java and Sumatran provinces of Indonesia, and Himalayan Nepal.
Prior to QuiVive, Nicoline interned for an Indonesian government Agri-tech partner in Jakarta researching deforestation-free commodity supply chains related to small holder farmers. She also interned at Freeport-McMoRan where she mapped the company’s contributions to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Nicoline is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh, where she earned an MSc in Environment and International Development. For her thesis, Nicoline worked on the first United Kingdom-wide research project on mine-water geothermal technology. She is also a graduate of The University of the South (Sewanee) with a B.S. in Geology. At Sewanee, Nicoline was a member of Sewanee Women Empowering and Engaging Community (SWEEC) and the Senior Leadership Board. She also traveled to Ecuador with the Sewanee Community Outreach Program, providing support for maternal health and education services in local communities.
Nicoline in a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and currently resides in New York City.
